Over 1400 non-functional schools made operational after recent recruitments, says CS
QUETTA: The Chief Secretary Balochistan, Shakeel Qadir Khan has stated that over 1400 non-functional schools have been made operational once again after recent recruitments made on contract basis.
The Chief Secretary directed to the concerned authorities to submit detailed report about all the non-functional schools.
He was presiding over the meeting about making non-functional schools functional here on Monday.
The meeting discussed the matters about restoration of the non-functional schools of the province, recruitments of teachers and improving the quality of education.
The Chief Secretary on the occasion directed to all district officers to furnish the lists of non-functional schools at the district level.
He said that while more than 1400 non-functional schools have been made functional after recent recruitments on the contract basis, the process of recruitments wound remain continued until and unless all non-functional schools are made functional.
The Chief Secretary said that education is the basic right of every child, and it is our collective responsibility to provide them this right.
He directed that no school should be closed in the province due to shortage of teachers.
He also directed to pay special attention on the schools located in the remote areas of province making all the closed schools functional so that our children are deprived of education.
