Pakistan Day Sports Festival concludes: We have to work for combined vision of broader national integrity, collective development & public welfare, says acting Governor
QUETTA: The acting Governor Balochistan, Abdul Khaliq Khan Achakzai has stressed that we have to work together for the combined vision of broader national integrity, collective development and public welfare setting aside our petty internal differences.
He said that Pakistan is included in the lucky countries, majority population of which consists of youth. Therefore, it is necessary to utilize their hidden capabilities in best interest of the country and nation.
The acting Governor was addressing the participants of Pakistan Day sports festival here on Sunday night.
Also present on the occasion were the provincial ministers Zahoor Buledi, Bakht Muhammad Kakar, Faisal Khan Jamali, Advisor to Chief Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Mina Majeed Baloch, Parliamentary Secretary, Liaquat Lehri, officers, players and large number of others.
The acting Governor said that the Muslims of subcontinent proceeded on the path of getting separate homeland following the historic resolution in Lahore 85 years ago.
The Muslims were succeeded in getting an independent and sovereign country after seven years of significant historic day of 23rd March, 1940.
Referring the Sports Festival, the acting Governor appreciated it and said that youth of the province are second to none. But, the lack of necessary opportunities and facilities is major hurdle in their way.
He said that our emerging youth can brighten the name of country and province at the national and international level.
The acting Governor emphasized upon creating internal unity and consensus in view of the political and economic confrontation in the whole region.
He said that it is clear that the respect to difference of opinion is beauty of human society. But, we should refrain from the national interests putting the petty personal interests, he added.
In the end, acting Governor distributed gold medals among the players demonstrating high performance in different sports competitions.
He also distributed commemorative shields among the guests and organizers.
The Advisor for Sports and Youth Affairs presented commemorative souvenir to the acting Governor.
