GSR blockage, for the last 08 days, due to a group of 5 avalanches at Rawat Youling area got opened and cleared for all kinds of traffic today on April 3, 2025, at about 9:00 Pm.

AC Gupis, along with Additional SP Gupis / Yasin visited the said area and supervised the whole activity. Given the volume and height of the said 5 avalanches at Rawat Youling area, it was expected to take 2 more days to get the blockage cleared but the increased number machinery and the commitment of District Administration Ghizer made it possible to accomplish the task within 03 days (with 15-16 hours daily work schedule).

In order to appreciate the commitment, dedication and hard work of the Teams and to boost their morale, AC Gupis-Phandar distributed cash prizes among the Staff of Tehsildar Phandar and his team, Supervisors, operators / safety staff and other allied staff of RADC and the staff of Rescue 1122.

Moreover, 1x Loader and 1x Excavator have been kept standby at Village Shamran for further widening of the road at Rawat Youling area and the remaining 2x excavators and 1x loader shall work on widening of the GSR at the rest of the 10 avalanche hit areas from Pingal to Gupis.

Furthermore, teams of SCO are in filed and the Mobile Network shall be restored within the next 24 hours.
