5th APRIL: The latest update on the (BIANGSA Braldo Valley (K2 Road) in District Shigar is that the Deputy Commissioner/Chairman DDMA Shigar visited the avalanche blockage site today. The DC was accompanied by AD GBDMA Shigar and XEN Shigar to assess the restoration work progress.
– Restoration Work: An excavator from DDMA Shigar is already on site working to restore the blockage as early as possible.
– Directives Issued: The Deputy Commissioner has instructed XEN C&W Shigar to increase the man power road mate’s for additional support to the excavator, and team to expedite the restoration work as soon as possible. Furthermore, (NID village) old Lind road right bank of the river may early restore for public comfort.
– XEN C&W assured that (NID village) link road will be functional within 5 days for local travellers movement.
– Expected Timeline: According to XEN C&W, the blockage is expected to take an additional 5 days to clear for public use.
