Eid Gift for APP Employees: 30% and 35% Salary Increase, APP Workers’ Alliance Thanks Federal Minister for Information and MD APP

Islamabad: More than one thousand employees of the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) have received joyful news right after Eid. The Ministry of Finance has approved a 30% and 35% increase in salaries for APP employees. This approval, granted by the Ministry of Finance, has been termed by the APP Workers’ Alliance as “the biggest Eid gift” for the employees.

Key leaders of the APP Workers’ Alliance — Khizar Malik, Raja Nadeem, Saleem Malik,Rasheed Malik, Joint Secretary of APP Employees Union Mian Mudassar-ul-Hassan, Executive Council member Tabsum Gul, Asif Ali Raja, Rao Zulqarnain, Abbas Ali Chauhan, Khalid Rabbani, Yawar Abbas, and Venus David — expressed heartfelt gratitude to Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and APP Managing Director Muhammad Asim Khichi for this important development.

The leaders of the Workers’ Alliance stated that due to the current crippling inflation, employees of state-run media institutions — especially those at APP — were under immense financial pressure, making this pay raise essential. They said this decision reflects government-level awareness of the issues faced by APP employees and a concrete step towards their resolution.
