Israrullah Zehri & Sardar Kamal Khan meet Bugti: Nawabzada Peaceful protest constitutional right of every citizen; but Govt. has authority of use of “right to assemble”: CM
QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti has stated that lodging peaceful protest is the constitutional right of every citizen, but the authority of use of “right to assemble” is with the government, and everyone has to acknowledge this constitutional right.
The Chief Minister was speaking to Nawabzada Mir Israrullah Zehri and Sardar Kamal Khan Bangulzai during meeting here on Monday.
Both the leaders had meeting with the Chief Minister in the CM Secretariat, in which ongoing protest of Balochistan National Party (Mengal) and overall political situation was discussed in detail.
The Chief Minister informed Nawabzada Israrullah Zehri and Sardar Kamal Khan about the government’s endeavours made at the political and administrative level.
The Chief Minister told them that there have been three sessions of dialogue with Sardar Akhtar Mengal so far. He mentioned that the government has accepted one of three demands presented by Sardar Mengal.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that the government made serious attempt of political solution to the issue. But there came no positive response, resulting in the deadlock.
Mir Israrullah Zehri and Sardar Kamal Khan emphasized upon the need of moving ahead the collective efforts for establishing sustainable peace and were agreed on continuing political contacts and process of dialogue in future.
