Parachute scheme culture buried; wastage of resources to be stopped: Mutual confidence between state & masses to be strengthened with resolution of issues, says CM

QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti has categorically announced that wastage of development resources would be stopped anyway, and adding asserted that no scheme would be theft or sold as negative traditions have been burred.
He announced that parachute scheme culture has been ended and reaffirmed that approved development projects would be made part of the next financial year’s budget, which would be compatible with the public requirements.
He also reaffirmed that the mutual confidence would be strengthened between the state and masses by resolving their issues.

He announced to complete all the ongoing development projects by end of current year while releasing the funds at once.
He ordered to the concerned authorities to start water supply by completing the Mangi dam project at the earliest.
The Chief Minister was chairing a high level review meeting on the progress of Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), here at the CM’s secretariat on Monday.
The Provincial Minister for Finance, Mir Shoaib Nosherwani, Chief Secretary, Shakeel Qadir Khan and administrative secretaries of provincial government departments were in attendance.
The Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary Development, Hafiz Abdul Basit, Additional Chief Secretary Home, Zahid Saleem, Secretary Education and others briefed the meeting in detail about the progress of development projects included in the PSDP.
The Chief Secretary particularly briefed about the reforms for improving governance and service delivery in the province. He also put forth certain suggestions in this regard.
Addressing the meeting, Chief Minister warned that the habitual absentee government employees would be sent home, as he expressed displeasure over their absence at their duty places.
He said that majority of the government employees don’t sit in their offices in rural areas of the province, as a result of which, the people are compelled to wander.
He said that it is top priority of the government to provide facilities to the people of province.
and exhorted the local government’s representatives to monitor the attendance of employees of the line departments including teachers and doctors in their respective areas.
The Chief Minister, however, expressed contentment over that for the first time, speedy progress was witnessed in development projects of the province.
He announced that all the ongoing development projects would be completed by end of current year by releasing the funds at once.
He said that delay in release of funds increases the cost of projects, therefore, it is necessary to stop this trend.
He on the occasion ordered to blacklist those companies, which are responsible for delay in completion of the projects. He also warned that the department showing slowness would have to be answerable.
He regretfully pointed out that common man of the province is facing hardships due to lack of facilities. Therefore, the government machinery would have to work with dedication for well being of the common men, adding he stressed.
He also emphasized that it is duty of the government to give policy while implementation on it is responsibility of the officers.
He on the occasion directed to introduce quality public transport system at the government level to facilitate the general public.
In addition to this, he directed to start water supply from Mangi dam project after completing it at the earliest.
He announced that the next financial year’s budget would be compatible with the public needs, so all departments are ought to formulate the projects keeping it in the view.
