Present century is century of women: Governor emphasizes on extending guidance & support to women living in remote areas of Balochistan
QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has stated that it is the national obligation of the political activists to extend support and guidance for development of women living in the remote and backward areas of the province.
The Governor emphasized that the political activists have to make every possible effort to provide the women access to the necessary opportunities and resources so that it is proved that we are heading towards an equitable and bright future together.
The Governor was speaking to a delegation comprising women who called on him under leadership of senior Vice President, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN), Fatima Kakar, here on Wednesday.
The Governor maintained that in fact, this century is the century of women.
He said that time arises that women may get their due place in all spheres of life shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts.
He said that there is an important role of the women in development and prosperity of the country, who actually are more than half of its population.
He said that empowering women actually means empowering the whole society.
He said that at the moment, provision of equal opportunities to women and their care is necessary for empowering them.
He said that the women living in the far-flung areas of the province are facing certain issues and hardships. Therefore, it is necessary to provide access of quality education and professional training to the women, adding he stressed.
He exhorted the women political activists to extend guidance and support to the women of rural areas for their development.
