Services of 8000 persons acquired from private sector: Recruitment of 3200 doctors and paramedics, 60 faculty members completed in health Department
QUETTA: The measures are being taken to meet shortage of the trained manpower in Health Department and in this context, recruitment of 1600 doctors, 1600 paramedic staff and 60 faculty members has been completed.
This was informed by the Secretary Health Department, Mujeebur Rehman Panezai during a review meeting held with the Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti in the chair on Thursday.
The Secretary Health informed that the faculty members recruited in the health sector are included Assistant Professors and senior Registrars.
In addition to this, 800 more doctors would also be recruited in due course of time, it was further informed by the Secretary Health while briefing the meeting about the initiatives being taken for uplift of the health sector in Balochistan.
During the meeting, it was also informed that services of 8,000 persons have been acquired from the health sector for anti-polio campaign. The Secretary said that the anti-polio initiatives have been made more coordinated and effective, as a result of which, there is a marked reduction in the cases of polio this year, it was informed.
While on the other hand, the measures are also being taken for making the command-and-control system, facilitation centers, surveillance centers, data centers and network operation centers more effective, the Secretary Health further informed.
