Karachi (April 12) Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori hosted a luncheon at the Governor House for families affected by tanker and dumper accidents. Over 150 victim families attended the event, where ration bags were also distributed among them.

Addressing a press conference at the Governor House, Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori expressed gratitude to the Chief Justice for taking notice of the matter based on his letter. “Just a few days ago, I had written to the Chief Justice regarding heavy traffic accidents. I believe this notice by the Supreme Court will lead to justice for the bereaved families and accountability of those responsible,” he said.

Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori urged an end to political exploitation of tragedies, saying, “Enough lives have been lost. Karachi cannot afford further unrest. I visited the homes of the victims and personally tried to provide them comfort. It is our duty to heal their wounds.”

He assured that FIRs would be lodged for the victims and reiterated that no political agenda would be built on these tragedies. “More than 150 affected families have come to the Governor House on my invitation. We are providing them with plots, ration, financial support, and will also cover the educational expenses of their children,” he stated.

Governor Sindh concluded by saying, “Now is the time to talk about education, health, and employment. I will place pens, not flags, in the hands of these victims.”
