Balochistan Food Authority Launches Special Campaign to Promote Food Safety in Educational Institutions

The Balochistan Food Authority (BFA) has initiated a special campaign to inspect canteens in educational institutions and educate students about food safety and hygiene principles. As part of this drive, a BFA team conducted a detailed inspection of the canteens at Islamia Girls School and Islamia Girls College Quetta, taking strict notice of substandard and non-compliant food items.

Key Highlights:

– Food Safety Awareness: Students were educated about hygiene principles, the risks associated with consuming prohibited and substandard food items, and the harmful effects of carbonated drinks and street food on human health.
– Inspection and Enforcement: The BFA team ensured that canteens adhere to food safety standards, identifying and addressing any lapses.
– Healthy Future: BFA Director General Waqar Khurshid Alam emphasized that healthy students guarantee a secure future, highlighting the importance of food safety for better child development and academic performance.
