All stakeholders ought to take wholehearted role till complete eradication of polio, emphasizes CS

QUETTA: The Chief Secretary Balochistan, Shakeel Qadir Khan has emphasized that all stakeholders would have to play their wholehearted role till complete eradication of polio virus.
The Chief Minister said that eradication of the fatal disease from the society is very important, and the provincial government is mobilizing all available resources for ending polio from the province.
The Chief Secretary was presiding over the meeting about the anti-polio campaign here on Friday.
During the meeting, the arrangements and preparations were reviewed for the upcoming campaign.
It was briefed about the upcoming anti-polio campaign due to be started from April 21, 2025, all over the province.
It was also informed that it has been targeted to administer the anti-polio vaccine to over 2.66 million children during week-long campaign.
More than 11,000 teams would take part in the immunization campaign.
Addressing the meeting, the Chief Secretary said that it is necessary to immunize the children against all diseases including anti-polio drops to them.
He said that we can save our children from the crippling disease by vaccinating the children on regular basis. He stressed that the parents, religious leaders, Tribal elders and civil society must play their positive role for ending polio disease.
He said we have to provide the coming generations a healthy Pakistan. He directed to all Deputy Commissioners and District Health Officers to ensure their participation in the evening review meetings.
