Federal Minister Planning visits Quetta
QUETTA: The Federal Minister for Planning, Ahsan Iqbal visited the provincial metropolis on Friday.
During the whirlwind visit, the Federal Minister Planning participated in different events besides having crucial meeting with the Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti.
During the meeting, Ahsan Iqbal had interaction with the Chief Minister and deliberated on development of the province besides discussing different ongoing development projects being executed with cooperation of federal government.
He assured wholehearted cooperation to the Chief Minister Bugti-led provincial government for development of Balochistan on behalf of the federal government.
Later, the Federal Minister participated in the consultative workshop on Uraan Pakistan – Homegrown National Economic Transformation Plan (2024-29) held at the local hotel the same noon.
Afterwards, he went to the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) the same afternoon.
During the visit, he had interaction with the Vice Chancellor of BUITEMS, members of faculty and students there.
During his key-note speech, he focused on the very initiative of federal government “Uraan Pakistan” saying that this would take the country and Balochistan much ahead than it is today. He also advised the students to work hard and get them decorated with the ornament of education to compete in the world as it (education) is the best weapons to end poverty.
