Islamabad. Apr. 18: The Islamabad Food Authority (IFA) has stepped up its efforts to combat food adulteration, conducting a raid on a ketchup unit in Tarlai. The raid resulted in the confiscation and disposal of 600 kilograms of unhealthy ketchup, 130 kilograms of sweetener, and artificial colors.

– Unhealthy Conditions: The unit was found to be operating in unsanitary conditions, with insects, cigarette butts, and cobwebs present on the premises.
– Substandard Product: The ketchup was found to be of poor quality, with tests revealing adulteration and non-compliance with labeling regulations.
