Muzaffarabad (PID AJK)20 April: President Azad Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry has said that Allama Iqbal awakened the Muslims of the subcontinent through his poetry and philosophic insights and presented the concept of an independent Islamic state. In his message issued on the 87th death anniversary of the poet, the president said that the vision of the great poet and philosopher continues to influence our lives and inspire young generations.Allama Iqbal’s message of self-discovery, national unity and human dignity, he said, remains pivotal for fostering the spirit of self-reliance, self-confidence and unity to serve the country. The president further stated that Allama Iqbal encouraged Muslims to trust in their abilities and advance together with unity. The President appealed to the nation, especially the youth to embrace the golden principles of Allama Iqbal in their lives and work unitedly in transforming Pakistan into a developed, peaceful and prosperous nation.
