Passionate Speech by Amir Muqam, Rana Mashhood as Chief Guest, Murtaza Javed Abbasi Attends
Peshawar (April 21, 2025):
Under the vision and leadership of Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, a grand Youth Convention was held to empower the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The event was graced by Federal Minister and Provincial President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Engineer Amir Muqam; Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, as the Chief Guest; former Member of the National Assembly and Provincial General Secretary of PML-N KP, Murtaza Javed Abbasi; and KP Youth Programme Coordinator Babar Saleem.
In his passionate address, Amir Muqam hailed the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as “the future of the nation,” appreciating their sincerity, love, and enthusiasm. He said, “First of all, I thank Almighty Allah for bringing us together for a great purpose. Witnessing your passion today has further strengthened my belief that the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are the bright future of Pakistan. The sincerity, affection, and devotion you’ve shown cannot be repaid by any power in the world.”
He added, “The enthusiasm I witnessed today is a guarantee that the dawn of development and prosperity will soon rise over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is also joining the journey of progress.”
Amir Muqam emphasized that under the youth policy, young people will not only be heard but also involved in the process of governance. He paid tribute to Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, saying, “Rana Mashhood is like a brother to me. He has worked tirelessly in various ministries in Punjab, and now he is leading the youth of KP towards the success of the Youth Programme.”
He announced that a formal office of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme has been established in Hayatabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which will begin operations immediately. He also announced the appointment of coordinators at district, divisional, tehsil, and union levels, stating, “Today, we have gifted you an office for the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme in KP. The work has officially begun. God willing, we will take this programme down to the tehsil and union council level so that every youth can benefit from it.”
Commending Rana Mashhood’s efforts in engaging, training, and creating opportunities for the youth in KP, he said, “The dedication with which Rana Mashhood has planned for the youth is unmatched. He is someone who has earned a place in the hearts of the people through hard work and service.”
Amir Muqam paid tribute to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, saying, “It would be unfair not to mention Shehbaz Sharif. His tireless efforts saved Pakistan from default and put the country on the path of economic stability. He reduced the inflation rate from 38% to 12%. He is a visionary leader under whose leadership Pakistan will progress.”
He further stated that the youth need not only education, but also skills, training, and opportunities. “Alongside education, we must also equip our youth with skills so that they are prepared to lead in the future. Investors are now turning to Pakistan, but this will only bear fruit if local governments and people benefit equally.”
Referring to the enthusiastic participation of youth, workers, and women from different districts of KP in the convention, Amir Muqam said, “Today’s atmosphere clearly shows that the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are committed to national development.” Concluding his speech, he prayed,
“May this bond between you and us remain forever strong and everlasting.”
