According to the details, B Section police encountered a gang of robbers in police uniform during patrol. After a police encounter, a robber Mukhtiar Ali Mastoi was arrested in an injured condition. A police officer uniform along with a pistol with rounds was recovered from the possession of the arrested accused. Police uniform; mobile phone, rifle and other items snatched from the accused in the incident of a petrol pump in the limits of Skrand police station. After a police encounter near Qazi Ahmed Road, Sam Nallah, another criminal Shaukat Panhwar resident of Kotri was arrested in an injured condition. Police uniform along with pistol with rounds, mobile phone snatched from petrol pump in the limits of police station taluka, repeater snatched from petrol pump in the limits of police station Baloo Ja Quba and other items were recovered from the possession of the arrested accused. The arrested accused had looted cash and other valuables from petrol pumps and shops in Balujukba, Taluka and Sakrand last month along with their accomplices and fled. Initial investigation has revealed that this inter-provincial criminal gang has been involved in crimes in Shaheed Benazirabad district as well as Thatta, Matiari, Hyderabad and other districts. The accused who escaped after the police encounter include Mushtaq Lakhir, Irfan Panhwar and Ghulam Abbas Chandio, a resident of Nawabshah, who was involved in their facilitation. Police teams are being formed, and raids are being carried out to arrest them. Further criminal records of the arrested suspects are being taken.
