CM inaugurates automatic financial management system for LG Dept., other provincial autonomous institutions

QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti inaugurated the automatic financial management system for the Local Government Department and other provincial autonomous institutions.
The inauguration ceremony of the system was attended by the Provincial Ministers, Advisor to Chief Minister for Local Government, Nawabzada Baba Ameer Hamza Zehri, other high ups.
The Commissioner Quetta Division and Administrator Metropolitan Corporation, Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat briefed the Chief Minister about the system.
During the briefing, it was informed that the financial affairs of Local Government would be converted to the SAP system under the automatic financial management system. The system would be started from Quetta in the first phase, it was further informed. The correct estimate of the expenditures would be made while the issue of ghost employees would be resolved after shifting Metropolitan Corporation on the system. The new financial management system would be made effective from June, 2025, it was further informed.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said that the new automatic financial management system would bring transparency in the financial affairs of Local Government Department.
He announced that the provincial government would gradually expand the process of automization to other provincial departments.
He also said that the government would ensure transparency and meritocracy in all sectors.
He said that the world is heading towards the digitalization and innovation, and we need to make us compatible with it.
He appreciated the Local Government and Finance departments on initiation of the excellent project.
