Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP), Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, addressed a large gathering at a Workers Convention held in Mohsin Khel
Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (24-04-2025): Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP), Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, addressed a large gathering at a Workers Convention held in Mohsin Khel, Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. During his passionate and detailed speech, he emphasized the revolutionary steps being taken under the PMYP to empower youth across the country through technology, transparency, and merit-based systems.
Rana Mashhood stated that for the first time in Pakistan’s history, the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme is moving beyond favoritism and political recommendations. Highlighting the development of the Digital Youth Hub, he explained that the newly launched platform is AI-integrated and completely merit-based. Any youth who registers on the platform—regardless of gender, location, or background—will be able to enter their academic qualifications, experience, and interests. The system will then automatically suggest scholarships, skill programs, jobs, and opportunities both within Pakistan and abroad based on individual profiles.
He emphasized that whether a student aspires to pursue higher education domestically or internationally, whether they are interested in sports, arts, IT, science, or any other professional field, the AI-driven system will intelligently recommend tailored opportunities. These suggestions will evolve in real-time, ensuring youth are constantly informed of new openings that match their credentials and preferences.
Discussing employment, he remarked that the time when governments hired people regardless of departmental capacity is over. Such practices led to institutional inefficiencies and financial burdens. Today, the focus is on building strong public-private partnerships. As a result, the private sector is now actively engaged, offering thousands of jobs daily.
He revealed that currently, over 250,000 employment opportunities are available through the portal—covering jobs in Pakistan as well as in countries like China, Japan, South Korea, Europe, the United States, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Qatar. These listings are updated every day as new positions open up and others are filled by Pakistani youth.
He underscored that the portal includes opportunities for all types of workers—from drivers and plumbers to IT experts, accountants, nurses, doctors, engineers, and chartered accountants. “No matter your skillset, there’s something for you. This platform is the future for our youth,” he said. “Gone are the days of running after recommendations and visiting offices. You don’t need anyone’s sifarish anymore—just your merit and the will to move forward.”
Rana Mashhood credited Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his merit-based governance and unwavering support for empowering youth. “This is not just a programme; this is a revolution,” he declared. “We are knocking at the doors of every household in Pakistan—from cities to remote villages—ensuring every family knows that the new era has begun.”
He stressed that Pakistan is no longer isolated. “Today, Saudi Arabia is investing in Pakistan. China has reignited the CPEC. The world is standing with us once again,” he said.
Touching upon national pride and regional threats, he made strong remarks regarding India’s aggression and past hostilities. “When India sent their pilot, we returned him with respect and tea. But if they repeat such actions, this time, they will receive a far stronger response,” he warned. “Let it be clear—we are capable of defending our borders. We will never let the enemy overpower us.”
He concluded his speech with a pledge to the people of Kohat and the wider region: “We will workday and night for the prosperity of your families and the bright future of your children. All we ask is for your trust and cooperation. May Allah be with you. Pakistan Zindabad!”
