Diverting Pakistan’s water to be treated as “act of war”: CM hails crucial decisions of NSC, terms decisive for country’s security and sovereignty

Mir Sarfraz Bugti says people & government of Balochistan standing with federal government and armed forces in decisions of NSC

 

QUETTA: Welcoming the crucial and timely decisions of National Security Committee (NSC) it its meeting, the Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti has described the same as decisive for the country’s stability and sovereignty.
In a message on his social media account here on Thursday, the Chief Minister said that Pakistan has always preferred peace, stability and regional cooperation, but the announcement made by India regarding suspension of the Indus Water Treaty (IWT) is very provocative and irresponsible act. He said that the whole Pakistani nation rejects it, he added.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti maintained that if India made an attempt to stop or divert the flow of water of Pakistan, then it would further escalate the tense situation in both sides and it would be treated as act of war.
He said that the action taken by India would be given befitting response.
The Chief Minister Bugti also hailed the firm stance of NSC that Pakistan would not make any compromise on its national sovereignty and basic rights of its people at any cost.
He said that the decisions such as closure of airspaces to Indian airlines by Pakistan, closure of Wagah border to all Indian land transit, limit to Indian High Commission staff were unavoidable.
He said that these decisions reflect the Pakistan’s self-restraint policy against the Indian aggressive actions.
He also termed the suspension of all visas under the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme (SVES) issued to Indian nationals, as wise decision.
He said that the whole nation is united for the stability of Pakistan as well as national dignity and safeguarding its resources.
He also said that the people and government of Balochistan are standing with the federal government and armed forces in the decisions of NSC and would play every possible role in the country’s defence.
