Promotion of agriculture, mining our priority: Funds to be allocated in next budget to meet basic needs of all districts of Balochistan: Nosherwani

QUETTA: The Provincial Minister for Finance, Mir Shoaib Nosherwani has categorically stated that the funds would be allocated to meet the basic needs of all districts of the province in next financial year’s budget.
He said that promotion of agriculture and mining is included in our government’s priorities.
Mir Shoaib Nosherwani was chairing a review meeting regarding SNE of agriculture and mining and next financial year’s budget, here on Thursday.
The Secretary Finance, Imran Zarkoon, Special Secretary Finance, Jehangir Kakar, and other high ups of the Finance Department were present in the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Minister for Finance said that the receipts of the Agriculture and Mining sectors have backbone status in economy of our province.
He said that the livelihood of most people of the province depends on these two sectors, therefore, we are determined to bring improvement in them.
He mentioned that our government has taken revolutionary steps to remove shortage of water in the agriculture sector by shifting the agriculture connections on solar energy. These initiatives would prove to be helpful to bring the barren land under cultivation, he added.
