Government taking practical steps to stop wastage of rainwater, says Shoaib
QUETTA: The Provincial Minister for Finance, Mir Shoaib Nosherwani has stated that the government is taking practical steps to stop wastage of water in the province.
He announced that funds would be allocated for construction of the dams in the next financial year.
He said that comprehensive planning is being made for bringing improvement in the departments of Irrigation and Public Health Engineering so as to resolve the issue of supply of water for the irrigation and agriculture in all districts of the province.
The Provincial Minister for Finance was presiding over the review meeting of SNE and upcoming budget of the Irrigation and PHE departments, here on Friday.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary Finance, Imran Zarkoon, Special Secretary Finance, Jahangir Kakar and other high ups of the Finance Department.
Speaking on the occasion, Mir Shoaib Nosherwani said that water is very big blessing, and the life of living things is possible on the earth because of water.
He said that the rainwater if stored increases agricultural production, which has the backbone status in economy of the province and country.
