Swat/Khwazakhela: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan, and SAFRON, Engineer Amir Muqam, administered the oath to the newly elected cabinet of the Tehsil Bar Association Khwazakhela, Swat, today. A dignified ceremony was held on this occasion, in which Federal Minister Amir Muqam participated as the chief guest. The event was attended by members of the legal community and other distinguished guests. Engineer Amir Muqam warmly congratulated the newly elected cabinet and extended his heartfelt best wishes to them.

While addressing the ceremony, Engineer Amir Muqam emphasized that lawyers must always live up to the expectations placed upon them. He urged prioritizing institutional and national interests over personal gains. He highlighted that the legal profession is sacred and that in challenging times, lawyers should play the role of a vanguard. It is the primary duty of lawyers to raise their voices for the strengthening of democracy and for the rights and truth of the people.

During the ceremony, special mention was made of the leader of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and the current Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, praising how they have always acted above political interests to uphold institutional supremacy and resolve national issues.
The Federal Minister reaffirmed his commitment to continue serving the nation and the country with the same spirit in the future.

Amir Muqam stressed that Pakistan belongs to all of us, and protecting it is a shared responsibility. He urged everyone to fulfill their duties diligently.

Criticizing India’s irresponsible policies and aggressive rhetoric, he said such statements yield no positive outcomes. He paid tribute to the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people, whose spirit remains unshaken, and whose hearts beat with Pakistan. Amir Muqam reminded everyone of the testimony given by the sacrifices of over one hundred thousand martyrs, widows, and destroyed homes in the Kashmir freedom movement.

Commenting on the Jaffer Express incident, he condemned India’s criminal silence and its baseless accusations against Pakistan, calling them incomprehensible. He also condemned India’s threats to terminate the water treaty as frivolous and a blatant violation of international agreements. He asserted that such tactics cannot weaken Pakistan’s bond with the Kashmiri people; instead, this bond will only grow stronger.

The Federal Minister emphasized that the Pakistan Armed Forces and the nation stand united against every Indian conspiracy. Today, Pakistan is a nuclear power – an achievement accomplished under Nawaz Sharif’s leadership in 1998, when Pakistan gave a befitting response to the enemy. He stated that Nawaz Sharif is still alive, his party is in power, and India should remember that any aggression will receive a double response.

He sent a message to India, stating, “If they are fond of war, the victory will be Pakistan’s; if they are fond of tea, we have a taste for meals.”

Amir Muqam asserted that he has stood by the nation and leadership during challenging times without fearing for his life, and he pledged that he would continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with the people in any future difficulties.

He also commented that despite Imran Khan’s appeal to overseas Pakistanis to halt remittances, there has been an increase in remittances, which reflects the public’s trust in the current government. Under Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership, the government has notably reduced inflation and has always prioritized public welfare.

Amir Muqam announced a grant of 1 million rupees for the Bar Association and pledged efforts to provide a solar system to improve facilities for the lawyers.

The newly elected cabinet of the Tehsil Bar Association Khwazakhela was once again congratulated, with hopes expressed that they would continue serving for the supremacy of law and the promotion of democratic values.
