SARSO Organizes Awareness Rally for World Immunization Week
Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) Tando Adam witnessed a vibrant awareness rally organized by the Sindh Rural Support Organization (SARSO) to mark World Immunization Week, focusing on the health of children and mothers. According to reports, the government has designated April 24 to 30 as World Immunization Week to promote the importance of vaccines for children under two years of age as well as maternal health.
The rally commenced from SARSO’s central office and concluded at the Tando Adam Press Club, attracting a large number of men, women, and children. Participants carried banners and placards bearing slogans aimed at raising public awareness about the significance of immunization.
Addressing the participants, leaders including Munir Hussain, Noor Bano, and Benazir Buriro emphasized that timely immunizations are critical for safeguarding children’s lives and preventing lifelong disabilities. They urged parents to ensure their children receive all necessary vaccines to secure a healthier future.
The speakers also called upon every citizen to play a role in supporting the government’s efforts to make the immunization campaign a success. Furthermore, they demanded that immunization services be extended to every village, town, and settlement so that no child is left unprotected.
The rally concluded with participants chanting awareness slogans and reaffirming their commitment to promoting the importance of vaccination in their communities.
