Governor Mandokhail sees off intending pilgrims: Pre-Hajj flight operation of PIA starts as maiden flight departs with 151 pilgrims from Quetta

 

QUETTA: The Pre-Hajj flight operation of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) started as the maiden Hajj flight departed for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from Quetta Airport on Tuesday morning.

The Governor Balochistan, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail saw off the intending pilgrims at the Quetta Airport.

It may be mentioned here in all 151 intending pilgrims left for the Holy Land by the maiden flight of the national flag carrier airlines.

The Governor formally cut a ribbon to mark inauguration of the pre-Hajj flight operation at a ceremony held at the international lounge of the Quetta Airport.

Also present on the occasion were the General Manager, Pakistan International Airlines Quetta, Shoaib Ahmed, Commander Anti-Narcotics Force, Brigadier Adnan, Airport Manager Quetta Airport, Malik Waheed Abbas, Director Hajj, Ilyas Jaffar and other concerned high ups besides the intending pilgrims proceeding for the Holy Land.

While speaking to the intending pilgrims, the Governor said that they (pilgrims) are lucky that they would reach Madina Munawwara safely after few hours travel by the first hajj flight.

He on the occasion highly appreciated the endeavours of PIA and other high ups for ensuing the direct flights to Saudi Arabia from Quetta.

He noted with contentment that the people of Balochistan got the big facility because of the initiative of direct flights from Quetta.

He expressed best wishes for the intending pilgrims proceeding for the Holy land and urged them to remember Pakistan especially Balochistan during the whole sacred journey.

He said that the journey of sacred places is a memorable experience in the life of Muslims.
