Dr. Saeed Khan honoured  with prestigious Prevention of Blindness Award 2025

QUETTA: The renowned ophthalmologist belonging to Quetta, Dr. Muhammad Saeed Khan has been honoured with the most prestigious award “Prevention of Blindness Award 2025”.

The “Prevention of Blindness Award 2025” has been awarded to Dr. Muhammad Saeed Khan by the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) in recognition of his meritorious contribution and services for prevention of blindness in the Asia-Pacific Region.

It may be mentioned here that the recipients of Outstanding Service in Blindness Award 2025 are included 20 ophthalmologists of the Asia-Pacific region.

Dr. Muhammad Saeed Khan, who is associated with the LRBT Eye Hospital in Quetta as Chief Medical Officer, is the only Pakistani to be honoured with the prestigious award among 20 ophthalmologists besides Eye Bank Foundation of the Philippines.

Meanwhile, The Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology has extended congratulations to the recipients of the outstanding service in Prevention of Blindness Awards 2025.

It said that the Award recognizes individuals or organizations whose contributions are instrumental in preventing blindness in the Asia-Pacific region.
