Labour Day recognition of rights, dignity & sacrifices: Balochistan Govt taking concrete & practical steps for welfare of labourers, says CM
QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti has stated that the provincial government is taking solid and practical steps for welfare of the labourers.
He said that the ongoing measures taken for welfare of the labourers are yielding positive results. He said that it happened for the first time in history of the province that the children of labourers are being provided opportunities to acquire education in higher educational institutions of the country.
He said that the incumbent government is ensuring provision of employment, healthcare, education, and social security for the labourers.
These and similar other views were expressed by the Chief Minister in a message issued on eve of the Labour Day being observed today (Thursday) in the province as elsewhere in the country and world.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti paid tribute to the laborers and said that it is through their tireless efforts that Balochistan and Pakistan are heading on the path of development.
He said that 1st of May is the day to recognize the rights, dignity and sacrifices of the labourers. He said that This day reminds us that a prosperous and developed society can only be established when the respect, protection and equal opportunities would be provided to the working class/
The Chief Minister said that the child of a labourer is studying in the same institution where the child of a well-off person is studying. This is a true example of equality and justice, he maintained.
He emphasized that as a nation, we should work to protect the rights of the workers collectively addressing the issues being faced by them.
