National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan hosted a delegation of students and faculty members from Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) on April 29, 2025
Quetta, April 29, 2025 – In alignment with the vision of Chairman NAB and as part of the anti-corruption awareness initiative, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan hosted a delegation of students and faculty members from Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) on April 29, 2025. The delegation comprising of students from the Department of Public Administration and Management Sciences was led by Dr. Nagina Gul, Assistant Professor. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Mr. Nauman Aslam, Director General, NAB (Balochistan) who underscored the significance of such engagements in fostering transparency and practical knowledge.During the visit, the delegation toured various wings of the NAB office, gaining an indepth understanding of its operational framework, including complaint processing, inquiry procedures and prosecution mechanism. Mr. Imran Majeed Additional Director delivered an informative lecture titled “Functions of NAB and Role of Students in Eradication of Corruption”. He elaborated on NAB’s three-pronged strategy-Awareness, Prevention and Enforcement and highlighted critical sections of National Accountability Ordinance (NAO) 1999 and its amendments. He emphasized about how students, as future leaders, can contribute to combating corrupting through ethical practices and vigilance.
The Director General NAB Balochistan engaged with the students, reiterated the Chairman NAB’s vision to prioritize high profile corruption cases and focus on preventive measures. He stressed the importance of Character-Building values, urging students to champion integrity within their community ultimately leading to a society intolerant to corruption.The visit concluded with Dr. Nagina Gul receiving a commemorative shield on behalf of the delegation, followed by mutual expression of gratitude. Both, NAB officials and visiting delegation lauded the initiative as a meaningful step towards building a corruption free Pakistan.
