Inaugurates Party’s provincial secretariat in Quetta: Shahid Khaqan Abbasi stresses on giving due constitutional rights to Balochistan

Pakistan needs to know what people of Balochistan are thinking; it is our collective responsibility to find solution to issues of province

QUETTA: The central convenor of Awam Pakistan Party and former Prime Minister, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has underlined the need to give due rights to Balochistan as per the constitution of Pakistan, as it is necessary to find solution to the issues being confronted by it.
He said that it is compulsory to fight terrorism, but we also need to find root cause of the issues of Balochistan. He said that it would have to be made possible to give real representation to the people and ensure rule of law and constitution.
He said that we have to look into and ponder upon that why the youth of Balochistan are disappointed, and as such we have to pay heed to their voice. He said it is need of the hour to know that what people of Balochistan are thinking?
He emphasized that it is our collective responsibility to find solution to the issues of Balochistan.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was speaking to the media persons after his meeting with the renowned tribal and political leader and former Senator, Nawabzada Lashkari Raisani, at the Sarawan House on Thursday.
During the course of meeting, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Nawabzada Lashkari Raisani discussed different matters including those related to Balochistan.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that he has bond of respect with Nawabzada Lashkari Raisani, and it would prevail. He said that he didn’t invite him (Raisani) to join his party.
However, he (Raisani) has spoken his heart out about the situation of Balochistan. He said that there is no need to bring new plan. The plan is already there, what’s needed is to implement it, he added.
He said that what’s going on in Balochistan, it should not be acceptable. We need to change our thinking, he said adding that we have to look into that why youth of the province has gone to the mountains, and why an educated female became suicide bomber in Karachi.
He said that we have not come to Balochistan for mere a photo session, rather in fact, we came to know as what’s the solution to issues of the province.
He said that it is not possible that the people are being killed and disappeared in Balochistan, and things are moving normally in the country.
He said that Balochistan must be the richest province of Pakistan. He said that there would be no peace until and unless the youth are given their due rights.
He said that the country would not move ahead without ensuring rule of constitution and law.
Nawabzada Lashkari Raisani also spoke on the occasion. He stressed the need to find peaceful solution to what’s going on in the province.
He charged that not only the right of representation was denied to us, but also the resources of province were also snatched.
Referring to the Mines and Mineral Act, Lashkari Raisani mentioned that the Act was passed from the provincial assembly in contradiction to the constitution and 18th amendment. He said that whenever we would have the opportunity, we would cancel it. He alleged that the rights of Balochistan were robbed by passing the Act.
He said that every conscious person would have to play one’s role to resolve the issues of province.
Meanwhile, the central Convenor of Awam Pakistan Party inaugurated the party’s provincial secretariat in a local hotel.
Also present on the occasion were other provincial and central leaders of the party besides it’s workers.
