May 02, ABBOTTABAD. Officers and employees who resolve public issues and serve the community during their official tenure continue to live in people’s hearts even after retirement. They do not miss their official positions because their legacy resides in public affection. These sentiments were expressed by Chairman of the Provincial Assembly’s Standing Committee on Health and Member of the Provincial Assembly, Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani, while addressing a special ceremony at Abbottabad Press Club held in honor of the retiring Assistant from the Regional Information Office Abbottabad Khan Gul Khan Jadoon.
This was the first-of-its-kind and unique ceremony at the Abbottabad Press Club, attended by individuals from all walks of life, senior government officials, representatives of various public, semi-public, and private organizations, and a large number of journalists.
While addressing the event, Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani praised Khan Gul Khan for being an outstanding, well-organized, and professional official. He stated that officers and officials who avoid chasing positions of power and stay close to the public, sincerely working to resolve their problems, are remembered and respected upon retirement just like Khan Gul Jadoon.
On this occasion, President of Abbottabad Press Club, Sardar Naveed Alam, remarked that the Department of Information and Public Relations is like a second home to the journalist community. He said Khan Gul Khan served not only the journalist community with sincerity but also rendered valuable services to the region.
The President and General Secretary of Abbottabad Union of Journalists also appreciated the services of the retiring Assistant, Khan Gul Khan, expressing hope that he would continue to serve his department, the journalist community, and the region with the same enthusiasm.
In his address, Khan Gul Khan Jadoon thanked the journalist community and all the officers and staff of the Department of Information, acknowledging that it was with their cooperation that he was able to perform his duties successfully.
