Nawabshah (Bureau Report) Pakistan Railways has made it a habit to not follow the orders of the Federal Ombudsman. Despite the completion of all the procedures, NOC was not issued to the Town Committee of Dour for the establishment of a public park. Social leaders have sent applications to the Federal Ombudsman to implement the orders. According to the details, Pakistan Railways Sukkur has made it a habit to continuously not follow the orders of the Federal Ombudsman, and the Town Committee of Dour is being delayed in issuing NOC for the establishment of a public park. New excuses are being made by the Deputy Director Property and Land Sukkur and the Assistant Executive Engineer Railways Nawabshah every day. No representative of Pakistan Railways Sukkur even attends the hearing at the Federal Ombudsman Regional Office Hyderabad. The decisions given by the Federal Ombudsman in three cases against Pakistan Railways Sukkur have not been implemented by Pakistan Railways Sukkur despite the passage of 22 months, and Pakistan Railways Despite the completion of all the paperwork, the Town Committee of Dour has not yet been given an NOC for the establishment/maintenance of a public park on railway land for the public interest and improvement of the environment. In this regard, social leaders Anwar Adil Khanzada, Riyaz Ahmed Kamboh and Muhammad Younis Khanzada said that non-compliance with the orders of the Federal Ombudsman is also an insult to the institution of the Federal Ombudsman, which Pakistan Railways has committed. Several times, the Deputy Director Property and Land Sukkur and the Assistant Executor Engineer Railways Nawabshah assured to issue an NOC, but delaying tactics are being used to issue the NOC. Social leaders said that on 10/01/2025, the Town Committee of Dour sent a formal request to the Divisional Superintendent (DS) Pakistan Railways Sukkur for the establishment/maintenance of a public park and payment of lease charges, but despite the passage of four months, no action has been taken on it. Deputy Director Property and Land Pakistan Railways Sukkur sent a letter No. 473-W/Park/Daur to the concerned Municipal Officer on 05/07/2023, agreeing to issue NOC to the Town Committee Daur at the rate of Rs. 05/sft for the establishment and maintenance of a public park for the improvement of the environment and public welfare. On 06/01/2025, AEN Railways Nawabshah, along with the Town Committee Officer and the Renewal staff, jointly visited the proposed park site of approximately 06 acres, and the Town Committee agreed to pay the lease charges for the establishment and maintenance of the public park. On 07/01/2025, a letter was sent by the Assistant Executive Engineer Pakistan Railways Nawabshah Maqsood Ahmed Lark to the Deputy Director Property and Land Sukkur in which it was stated that the formal request had not been received from the Civil Administration, and it was said that as soon as the formal request was received, the AEN The process of issuing OC will be initiated, but despite the passage of four months, no action has been taken. Social leaders said that Pakistan Railways Nawabshah Inspector of Works Imtiaz Rasool assured to issue NOC in his report and during the Herring Town Committee meeting, but despite the passage of more than two years, this has not been implemented. The establishment of a public park will not only improve the environment but will also increase the beauty of the railway station and the area and the railway track will not be damaged during the rains. Garbage and dirty water have been accumulating at the location of the public park for several months and during the rains, this area is completely submerged, and the water remains stagnant for several months. Due to the proximity of the railway track, the railway track also sinks, which damages the railway track. Railway land is also being encroached on in this area. With the establishment of a public park, not only will the railway land be protected from encroachment and the railway track will also be safe. Social leaders have demanded immediate action from the Federal Ombudsman and Pakistan Railways officials.
