Call attention notices on performance of BPSC: BA adopts resolution about preservation of cultural heritage of Balochistan
House rejects motion of amended draft legislation regarding protection of women from harassment at the workplace
QUETTA: The Balochistan Assembly adopted the resolution regarding preservation of the cultural heritage of the province, here in its session on Monday.
The session of Provincial Assembly was held after two-day break with Speaker, Captain (Retd) Abdul Khaliq Khan Achakzai in the chair.
The resolution about preservation of the cultural heritage of Balochistan was tabled by the Parliamentary Secretary Culture, Nawabzada Zarin Khan Magsi.
Earlier, the house rejected the motion of amended draft legislation regarding protection of women from harassment at the workplace
The motion of amended draft law was tabled by the Advisor to Chief Minister for Women Development, Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi. On rejection of the motion, member Provincial Assembly and former Chief Minister, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch said that rejection of a government’s motion is equivalent to no-confidence on the government.
Meanwhile, the MPA Maulana Hidayatur Rehman Baloch presented a call attention notice about expenditures and performance of the Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC).
In his call attention notice, he said that the performance of BPSC is not satisfactory. He said that few vacancies are filled by the BPSC and as such the government may review its performance.
The Speaker disposed of the call attention notice tabled by Maulana Hidayatur Rehman.
On another call attention notice, MPA Ghulam Dastagir Badini referred to the tragic incident of Noshki claiming that 19 persons died in it.
He demanded of the house to declare all the deceased of Noshki mishap as martyrs.
Speaking on the call attention, Provincial Minister Finance, Mir Shoaib Nosherwani assured that the Chief Minister would be talked about in this regard.
Later, the session of provincial assembly was adjourned to meet at 03:00 Pm, on May 7.
