A Farewell event in honor of Consul General Iran in Karachi

KARACHI: A farewell reception was organized in the honor of Iranian Consul General here at a local hotel on Monday.
CG Hassan Nourian, as he prepares to conclude his tenure of four and a half years. The event was marked by warm tributes celebrating his efforts to strengthen the bonds of friendship and understanding between Pakistan and Iran.
The ceremony was attended by a large number of diplomats from various countries, prominent citizens, business community and the media fraternity.
A representative from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised Nourian’s diplomatic service and extended best wishes for his future endeavors.
Speaking on the occasion, fellow diplomats acknowledged Hassan Nourian’s contributions to regional diplomacy and congratulated him on successfully nurturing bilateral ties during a time marked by significant regional and global shifts.
In his address, Hassan Nourian expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve in Pakistan and said he had carried out his diplomatic duties with sincerity and commitment. “It has been a privilege to serve in a country where our shared history, culture, and values resonate so strongly,” he said. He added that his time in Pakistan was dedicated to fostering brotherly relations between the two neighboring Islamic nations.
The outgoing CG Nourian also thanked Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, his diplomatic team, and his Pakistani and foreign friends who supported him during his posting.
Nourian emphasized that the connection between Pakistan and Iran is not merely geographical, it is rooted in shared cultural and literary heritage, which continues to bind the two nations together.
