Qaiser Nawab Welcomes Ceasefire, Lauds Pakistan’s Armed Forces, and Thanks International Allies

Qaiser Nawab, Chairman of the Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development (BRISD), has welcomed the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan as a victory for diplomacy, dialogue, and responsible international engagement.

“Pakistan has consistently pursued dialogue and diplomacy as the only viable path to lasting peace in South Asia,” Nawab said. “War, violence, and aggression are never the answer. This ceasefire marks not only a de-escalation of hostilities but a reaffirmation of Pakistan’s moral and strategic maturity.”

Nawab praised the valiant Armed Forces of Pakistan, particularly the Pakistan Air Force, for their professional, proportionate, and swift response to unprovoked Indian aggression. “As a Pakistani, I could not be more proud of our people, our army, and especially our Air Force, who stood firm in the face of hostile provocation and defended our sovereignty with unmatched courage. Pakistan Zindabad!”

He emphasized that Pakistan’s actions were conducted under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, which allows for the inherent right of self-defense against armed attacks. “Our response was not just tactical—it was principled and aligned with international law,” he said.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the brotherly nation of Azerbaijan—its visionary leadership, courageous people, and vibrant media—for standing firmly with Pakistan during this critical time. Azerbaijan’s unwavering support for justice, international law, and sovereign rights reflects our shared values and enduring brotherhood. From the highest offices to civil society, the people of Azerbaijan have demonstrated exemplary solidarity, reminding the world that moral clarity and historical bonds still matter in diplomacy. We are proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with our Azerbaijani brothers and sisters in the pursuit of peace, justice, and dignity.

Nawab also thanked Turkey and China, calling them time-tested friends of Pakistan whose support during times of crisis continues to strengthen the bonds of regional cooperation and mutual respect.

“We deeply appreciate the constructive roles played by the United States, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), and other global partners in defusing tensions and encouraging both sides toward meaningful dialogue. It is through such concerted efforts that diplomacy can prevail over destruction.”

This will be remembered by India—as today their hegemonic designs to become the sole South Asian power are not only shattered by the brave Armed Forces of Pakistan, but they have also been taught a lesson in humility. Their so-called military might has been proven inferior in both resolve and results when faced with a determined, united, and dignified nation like Pakistan.

In closing, Qaiser Nawab reiterated BRISD’s commitment to sustainable peace, regional cooperation, and multilateral diplomacy rooted in justice and international law. “Pakistan remains committed to peace—but let there be no doubt: we will never compromise on sovereignty, dignity, or the safety of our people.”

Long live Pakistan. Long live regional peace.
