Man of his words & action: General Syed Asim Munir No doubt, the Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir is the man of his words and action. Under his unwavering command, the Pakistan Army and the armed forces have achieved something exceptional and historic by countering and foiling the unprovoked Indian aggression and evil designs against Pakistan with valor and passion. He has really proven that with will of Allah Almighty, how a bigger force like India can be vanquished by a comparatively smaller force, like Pakistan. General Asim Munir spearheaded Pak Army to give befitting response to the Indian aggression and attack on Pakistani soil. By doing so, he not only learnt an unforgettable lesson to the enemy, but also exposed it’s defence position to the whole world. One can recall the exact words uttered by the Army Chief on April 29, 2023 at the Kakul Academy. Then, he had quoted and recited the 249 Ayat of Sura Al-Baqarah in his speech. He had said that “How many times it happened that a smaller force vanquished a bigger force by the Will of Allah.” And that “History has proven that the complete nation and its armed forces have always stood together with all their might against any act of aggression. Alhamdulliah, we have the will, capacity and capability to protect our sovereignty and territorial integrity. We are all aware of the ways and means to do it.” It has been done now when Pakistan neutralized Indian strikes and given overwhelming response to India by causing colossal damages to its defence system at its own land, that forced it to seek ceasefire. It’s fittest to mention the statement of a Senior Research Fellow at the Charhar Institute, Prof. Cheng Xizhong, who remarked “it is hoped that India will seriously learn a lesson from this military conflict with Pakistan, not invade neighboring countries any more, not show off military strength frequently, not threaten with military means all the time. By launching unjust wars, India itself will suffer the greatest losses ultimately.” After fierce fighting in recent days, India has finally agreed to a ceasefire. It should be said that this is mainly the result of Pakistan’s powerful self-defense counterattack. On the early morning of May 10, Pakistan launched an all-round counterattack codenamed “Bunyan-ul-Marsoos”, which dealt a heavy blow to India’s arrogance of regional hegemonism and won a decisive victory. India is essentially a country that bullies the weak and fears the strong. Pakistan’s powerful military counterattack has made India realize that it is difficult to win in the war.” And matter of fact remains, India has suffered a lot, it is believed that it (India) would never ever think about any misadventure in future. Otherwise, it would prove to be a misfortune for it.
