QUETTA: The Government of Balochistan has imposed a two-month ban on fishing during the breeding season to protect the reproduction of fish and other aquatic life.
According to an official notification issued by the Fisheries and Coastal Development Department the other day, the Government imposed ban on fishing from June 1 to July 31, 2025 during the breeding season of marine life.
During this period, the use of all types of fishing vessels, nets, and specific equipment will be strictly prohibited.
This ban will be enforced across Balochistan’s marine areas, canals, dams, and other coastal and inland regions.
The notification clearly states that this decision has been made to protect the reproduction of fish and other aquatic life in order to maintain the natural ecosystem.
