QUETTA: The Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti has stated that Pakistan’s armed forces have defended the country by sacrificing their lives, and the nation pays tribute to them on it. Addressing the grand event marking celebration of Pakistan against Indian aggression held at Railway Hockey Ground Quetta on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said that the armed forces have given a befitting response to the Indian hostilities and defended the nation and country. He specifically praised the Pakistan Air Force for completely disabling the enemy’s defence system. He said that the courage and bravery of Pakistan’s armed forces, which shattered the enemy’s pride, have once again made history. He said that the Modi government believed Pakistan to be weak, but the Pakistan Armed Forces proved through their actions that they can crush the enemy’s arrogance underfoot. He said that “Today we gather here to pay tribute to our armed forces and leadership and to send a clear message that Balochistan is the vanguard of Pakistan. It has always echoed the voice of Pakistan and will continue to do so.” Bugti emphasized that India has always received a crushing response to its aggression, especially this time when Pakistan’s military leadership confronted the enemy with exceptional strategy, bravery, and dignity — an effort worthy of praise. “The people of Balochistan are grateful and the whole nation salutes their leadership.” He paid tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives to protect the nation, saying their sacrifices will never go in vain. He condemned efforts by certain elements to drag the Baloch people into a futile war, warning that the people of Balochistan have decided not to allow any ideology to be imposed at gunpoint. “Just as the separatist movement in Kurdistan ended recently, I see a similar end for such so-called movements in Balochistan.” He extended an invitation to those who, at the behest of India, are trying to impose war in Balochistan: “Look at India’s fate. Come and join the national mainstream under the Constitution of Pakistan.” Criticizing the so-called national struggle, he questioned its legitimacy, asking: “What kind of national struggle is this, where innocent civilians, laborers, travelers, and innocent Baloch are being killed? This is neither Baloch tradition, nor Pashtun values, nor the way of Balochistan’s land.” He said the current reality is that this conflict is no longer about justice but is a proxy war driven by personal interests and foreign forces. Those involved have become tools in the hands of enemies like India. “History is witness that once the state decides, the enemy is wiped out, as we all saw during the events of May 9 and 10.” Mir Sarfraz Bugti reaffirmed that the people of Balochistan have firmly decided they will not let any ideology be imposed through violence. “No matter the sacrifices required, we stand with Pakistan and will continue to stand with it.” He also condemned the attack on the convoy traveling from Sariab Road to attend the rally, prayed for the martyr’s elevated status, and promised justice. “The killers will be brought to justice, and the family of the martyr will be fully supported. Every drop of his blood will be accounted for.” Bugti concluded by praising the bravery and honor of the people of Balochistan, stating that they stand like a fortified wall in defense of Pakistan. He further remarked that the people of Balochistan have been pushed into a futile war, but no one will be allowed to impose their ideology through the use of force. “If sacrifice is needed to stop this, we will not hesitate,” he declared. He emphasized that the people of Pakistan are honorable and resilient. The event was also addressed by Parliamentary Secretary Haji Wali Muhammad Noorzai, Mir Abdul Samad Gorgij, Mir Liaquat Ali Lehri, Malik Naeem Khan Bazai, and political and social leader Babar Khan Yousafzai.
