Peshawar – District Police Officer (DPO) Abdul Rasheed has directed officers to ensure the strict implementation of the National Action Plan and devise a coordinated strategy for the arrest of proclaimed offenders involved in serious cases. He emphasized expanding the scope of combing patrols and search and strike operations.

In light of the current security situation, DPO Abdul Rasheed instructed the activation of Peace Liaison Committee (PLC) members within their respective areas to support law enforcement efforts.

The directives were issued during the April 2025 monthly crime meeting held at the new DPO Complex Conference Hall. The meeting was attended by supervisory officers from across the district, Station House Officers (SHOs), and investigation officers.

SP Investigation Alamzeb Khan presented an overview of the progress made in tracing heinous cases. He highlighted the efforts made so far and discussed strategies to improve case resolution rates.

During the session, the DPO reviewed each case in detail and issued instructions to officers. He stressed the importance of combining modern and traditional investigative techniques to trace unresolved cases and bring the perpetrators to justice.

He further directed the expansion of combing patrols and search and strike operations to apprehend proclaimed offenders. He also reiterated the need for full implementation of the National Action Plan, calling for the active involvement of PLC members in the field.

Moreover, DPO Abdul Rasheed urged the public to be made aware of the ban on drone flights under Section 144, whether for personal, commercial, or event-related purposes such as weddings. Citizens in possession of drones were advised to register them at their nearest police station or post without delay.
