Governor Balochistan emphasizes need for comprehensive strategy to positively influence mindset of youth

QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has emphasized the need for a comprehensive strategy to positively influence the mindset of the youth and guide them towards constructive activities. He highlighted the importance of aligning national interests with the needs of youth to foster responsible citizenship, national unity, constructive thinking, patriotism, and creativity.
To achieve this, he announced the initiation of a series of seminars, conferences, and extracurricular activities at the university level aimed at empowering the youth and countering external propaganda.
He also welcomed the organization of various programmes and rallies in public sector universities to celebrate “Youm-e-Tashakkur” (Day of Gratitude).
The Governor commended the bravery and courage of the armed forces of Pakistan during the recent conflict with India, noting that despite numerical superiority, they secured a historic victory.
He emphasized the need to instill a sense of responsibility and patriotism in the new generation to ensure national cohesion.
He also stressed the necessity of enhancing effective communication among public sector universities to facilitate mutual learning and collaboration.
Addressing the challenges faced by universities, Jaffar Mandokhail called for a change in attitudes to align with the evolving demands of the modern world.
He urged universities to provide quality education, impart new skills, prioritize field research, and focus on market-oriented subjects. Furthermore, he announced that a second Vice-Chancellors’ Conference would be held at the Governor House shortly after Eid-ul-Azha to discuss the issues faced by universities, including academic and financial matters, and to develop a new roadmap for the future.
