QUETTA: The Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti demonstrated courage and unconditional commitment to the public by ordering removal of a bulletproof podium before addressing a public gathering in Brashore in Pishin district on Tuesday. He stated that the security officials had warned him of threats in the area, but he made it clear that he would fulfill the promise that brought him there, no matter the cost. He asserted that “let them do whatever they want — my chest is ready. I will come among my people, and no power in the world can separate me from them. Pointing towards the bulletproof podium, he said, “This morning, I saw this podium which may be able to stop a bullet, but it also lessens the warmth of the public’s love.” In his speech, the Chief Minister said, “I am one of you — no bulletproof glass, no security wall can keep me away from my people. This chest is ready for those who want to separate me from my people and my love for Pakistan.”
