MIRPUR MATHELO (By Tanveer Ahmed Soomro) Chairman Social Development Committee District Ghotki Abdul Bari Pitafi has said that the aim of establishing a modern library in Mirpur Mathelo is to provide better opportunities for education and research to the students, the Sindh Government is working for the welfare of the people.
He expressed these views while laying the foundation stone of the Digital Library and Resources Center in the Public Park of Mirpur Mathelo. The inauguration ceremony of the latest Digital Library and Resources Center, established at a cost of Rs 20 crore in the Public Park of Mirpur Mathelo, was attended by a large number of citizens and students, including Deputy Commissioner Ghotki Dr. Syed Muhammad Ali, representatives of Mari Petroleum Company and Engro Fertilizer.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Abdul Bari Pitafi said that in the modern library of Mirpur Mathelo, students will be able to access libraries of America and Britain through the internet. This is not an ordinary library. 200 million rupees are being used properly. It is hoped that the students of Ghotki district will also benefit like the youth of Larkana, Hyderabad and Karachi.
The youth of the cities where there is a modern library are passing CSS. Books increase knowledge and increase ability, due to which the youth easily pass competitive exams.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Ghotki Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah said that the digital library built with the efforts of the Sindh government and Chairman PSDC is a big gift for the people of Ghotki District, which will prove beneficial for the coming generations. He added that people of all ages will be able to benefit from the modern library and special arrangements will be made in this library regarding the education of girls so that the students here can also benefit from the library. The citizens and students of Mirpur Mathelo also appeared happy with the establishment of the modern library and praised such an initiative and said that the youth here badly needed a digital library,
