All departments ought to work jointly to make Quetta modern, clean & organized city

QUETTA: All departments would work jointly to make Quetta a modern, clean, and organized city.
The improvement of traffic and removal of encroachments is to be ensured at all costs.
These decisions were made during a meeting chaired by the Commissioner Quetta, Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat here on Tuesday.
The meeting was held to discuss measures for the improvement of Quetta city, particularly focusing on traffic flow and the removal of encroachments.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Quetta Captain (R) Mehar Ullah Badini, Project Director of the Quetta Development Package Rafiq Baloch, Divisional Director Quetta Division Zahoor Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Quetta Division Manzoor Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner Political Quetta Division Syed Kaleem Ullah, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Quetta Waqar Kakar, along with representatives from traffic police, C&W, Metropolitan Corporation, QDA, Pakistan Railways, and other relevant departments.
Key decisions & discussions made in the meeting included:
All departments will work collaboratively to make Quetta a modern, beautiful, and well-organized city.
Improvements in traffic flow and the elimination of encroachments will be ensured under all circumstances.
The Project Director QDP briefed on the progress of ongoing development projects. Feasibility studies were discussed for constructing underpasses at:
Spini Road Cross, Kidney Centre, Alamoo Chowk, Airport Road.
It was informed that Nespak will be hired for feasibility studies related to the underpass at the Kidney Centre.
The possibility of building a flyover at the Kidney Centre is also under consideration.
Railway Crossings:
QDA will send a summary to the Finance and C&W Departments regarding the cost and staffing requirements for constructing railway crossings.
A report will be submitted on illegal occupation of railway land in Kuchlak so district authorities can take action.
Feasibility studies and designs for widening White Road should be completed and submitted promptly.
Traffic police instructed to take strict action against vehicle parking in Liaquat Bazaar, Kandhari Bazaar, Jinnah Road, Prince Road, and Alamoo Chowk — areas where parking is completely prohibited.
Unauthorized bus terminals on Airport Road will be issued notices and sealed.
Secretary RTA, relevant magistrates, Metropolitan Corporation, and traffic police to carry out this operation promptly.
A private firm has been hired to assist with action against illegal parking.
Regarding Anti-Encroachment Drive, the Anti-Encroachment Cell was instructed to take indiscriminate action in the coming week against encroachments on Saryab Road, New Adda, and Double Road.
Planning for a parking plaza at the Taxi Stand will be finalized.
Use of Plaza Ground Floors for Parking:
Metropolitan Corporation instructed to designate ground floors of plazas without parking as dedicated parking areas.
No building plan should be approved without proper parking arrangements.
The meeting emphasized coordinated efforts among departments to implement these initiatives swiftly and effectively.
