A seminar titled “China-Pakistan Economic Corridor: Regional Connectivity, Innovation, and Security in the Context of Balochistan” was organized in Quetta by the Centre for Development and Stability (CDS).
Key speakers at the event included former Caretaker Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Allauddin Marri (who addressed the seminar via video link), Provincial Minister Sardar Faisal Jamali, former Interior Minister Capt. (R) Mir Zubair Jamali, former Spokesperson of the Balochistan Government Babar Khan Yousafzai, CDS Director General Dr. Irfan Ashraf, Sardar Haroon Jamali, geopolitical analyst Raja Faisal, Balochistan High Court Bar Association President Advocate Attaullah Langove, Dr. Dost Baryach, and others.
The speakers highlighted that CPEC is a game-changing project not only for Pakistan but for the entire region. While recognizing the immense opportunities it brings, they also acknowledged the challenges that must be collectively addressed. They emphasized that the success of CPEC requires national unity and a clear strategy to counter the malicious agendas of hostile powers—especially India’s disruptive tactics.
Speakers underscored the importance of realism, collective thinking, and long-term strategic planning in making the CPEC initiative truly beneficial for Balochistan. They also warned the youth about India’s hybrid warfare aimed at destabilizing the province and stressed the need for awareness and resilience.
Participants reaffirmed their strong commitment to working together to build a prosperous, united, and stable Pakistan—starting from Balochistan
