Islamabad, July 17, 2025 : Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Information Minister Pir Muhammad Muzaffar Saeed Shah met with Federal Minister for National Health Services Mustafa Kamal, where they discussed healthcare and the political landscape of Kashmir.
Minister Shah emphasized the AJK administration’s commitment to improving healthcare services and mentioned a new project to establish basic health units in underserved areas.
The AJK Minister stated that the current priority is to equip these centers with medical professionals and essential medicines. He highlighted AJK’s success in eradicating polio for over two decades and shed light on its improved health indicators compared to several other provinces.
Minister Patel assured his full support for further uplifting AJK’s infrastructure and commended the region’s polio-free achievement.
He acknowledged the region’s natural beauty and tourist attractions, while also paying tribute to the sacrifices made by Kashmiris in their struggle for freedom from Indian atrocities
