QUETTA. A terrorist attack was carried out on a police convoy traveling from Kalat to Quetta in Balochistan. The convoy, consisting of two trucks and two pickups, was targeted at the Chuto area. Two police personnel, DSP Inspector Abdul Razaq and Constable Raza Muhammad Jam, were martyred in the attack, while two others, Constable Taj Muhammad and Constable Khurshid Ahmed, were injured and shifted to the hospital.
The security forces and police personnel immediately reached the scene and launched a search operation in the area. The bodies of the martyrs and injured personnel are being transported to Quetta via helicopter.
The Balochistan government has condemned the attack, stating that it is a manifestation of the frustration of those who are enemies of peace. The government has assured that those involved in the attack will be brought to justice.
