A monthly meeting of the District Education Group was held in Kalat under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Captain (Retd) Jamil Ahmed Baloch. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Shah Nawaz Baloch, Assistant Commissioner Aftab Ahmed Lasi, heads of education departments in Kalat and Manguchar, college principals, headmistresses of girls’ high schools, District Accounts Officer, Social Welfare Officer, Deputy District Health Officer, and representatives from UNICEF.
The meeting discussed various matters related to the education department, including teacher attendance, completion of under-construction schools, repair of school buildings, activation of inactive schools, teacher shortages, transfer and posting of teachers, and other relevant issues. The heads of the education department provided a detailed briefing to the Deputy Commissioner.
Deputy Commissioner Jamil Baloch emphasized the need for special attention to the education sector and assured that all possible resources would be utilized to address the challenges faced by the education department. He stressed that teacher absenteeism would not be tolerated and that action would be taken against absent teachers. The DC directed the education department to ensure that schools are functioning effectively and that students receive quality education.
