Larkana – The National Disability & Development Forum (NDF), under the leadership of Mr. Haji Abid Lashari, is providing free rehabilitation services for children with disabilities in Larkana. This vital initiative aims to support marginalized communities, especially in remote areas of Sindh, where access to specialized services remains a significant challenge.

NDF, in partnership with the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD), Government of Sindh, has established rehabilitation centers to offer physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, psychotherapy, and remedial education to children in need. These services are provided completely free of cost, along with pick-and-drop facilities, to reduce the burden on low-income families.

“NDF is deeply committed to reaching underserved and remote areas of Sindh, where children with disabilities often go unnoticed and unsupported,” said Haji Abid Lashari, President of NDF. “Through our partnership with DEPD, we are not only delivering essential rehabilitation services in Larkana but are also planning to expand our reach to other towns and districts across the province.”

NDF calls upon the government, donors, and civil society organizations to prioritize disability rehabilitation in remote regions like Mirpurkhas, Mithi, Ghotki, Dadu, Sanghar, Badin and others and collaborate to ensure inclusive and equitable support for every child with a disability in Sindh.
