Lahore, July 22, 2025…A delegation led by Vice Chancellor Fatima Jinnah Medical University, Professor Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal called on Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan at Governor House Lahore. The delegation gave a detailed briefing to the Governor Punjab about the recent achievements of Fatima Jinnah Medical University in the educational, research and medical fields. The annual report of Fatima Jinnah Medical University for 2024 and 2025 was also presented on this occasion. Director Medical Education Professor Bilqis Shabbir gave a briefing on the national and international rankings of Fatima Jinnah Medical University.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that doctors are messiahs and the treatment and care of people suffering from various diseases is no less than a worship. He said that the role of Fatima Jinnah Medical University in teaching, research and patient service is commendable. The Governor of Punjab said that research is very important for development and universities are centers of research. He appreciated the Spine Fellowship and other initiatives under the Level Four Programme at Fatima Jinnah Medical University. The Governor of Punjab further said that it is very important to provide health facilities in remote areas.
Vice Chancellor Fatima Jinnah Medical University Professor Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal said that Fatima Jinnah Medical University is continuing its journey of development in medical education. He said that four sub-specialty programmes of Gynecology have been started at Fatima Jinnah Medical University. The delegation comprised Principal Professor Abdul Hameed and Dean Undergraduate and Director Medical Education Professor Bilquis Shabbir and others.
