10 Robbers Arrested in Karachi Police Encounters, 2 Citizens and Policeman Injured in Firing and Accident

Karachi, July 30, (SPECIAL REPORT): Several citizens and a police officer were injured in multiple police encounters, firing incidents, and a major road accident in Karachi on Wednesday. One of the most serious incidents occurred in Saddar’s Sarafa Bazaar, where a police constable and a citizen were injured and a suspect was arrested during a shootout between police and suspected robbers. Two other suspects managed to escape from the scene. Weapons, mobile phones, and a motorcycle were recovered from the scene.

In other incidents across the city, three alleged robbers were arrested during two separate police operations in Nazimabad and Federal B Area, all of whom were injured during the encounters. Their alleged accomplices managed to escape. Weapons and ammunition were seized in both operations. Meanwhile, several people were injured in a series of firing incidents in various locations, including Surjani Town, Quaidabad, Qasba Colony, and Orangi Town. Investigations into the motives behind these attacks are underway.

Adding to the day’s calamities, three people, including a Special Branch officer, were injured in a traffic accident near Hub Dam on the Northern Bypass. An operation in Korangi resulted in the arrest of four suspects, one of whom was injured. Two injured suspects were arrested after a police encounter in Orangi Town. Investigations into all incidents are ongoing.
