Karachi, August 10, 2025 : An acceleration in the ongoing operation against illegal constructions in Karachi has been witnessed, during which several buildings were demolished in various districts. Illegal portions of five buildings were demolished and a shop was sealed during operations conducted in Guzri, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and PECHS.
Provincial Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon stated that this action is against owners who violate building laws. Emphasizing the impartial nature of the campaign, he expressed his commitment to its continuation. Memon revealed that more than 357 illegal constructions have been demolished so far. He said that the Sindh government is committed to enforcing urban planning and building laws. Under clear orders, any unauthorized construction activity is prohibited. The aim is to ensure the elimination of illegal structures and encroachments in Karachi.
